This is a charming two and a-half story brick home which was constructed in the 1880's, unfortunately by whom is not known. The Zettlemoyers purchased their home in November 2002 as they saw great potential and felt immediately comfortable when they walked through the door. Much renovation has taken place since 2002. Beautiful hardwood floors were uncovered and refinished. A much-needed coat of paint has transformed the house from top to bottom. The bedroom has decorative painting with burled faux woodwork. Plaster ceiling medallions are in most of the rooms. They were made and purchased in Norristown, and although new, the designs are originals from the Victorian period. Period brass lighting has also been reintroduced throughout the home. The house has been updated with a central vacuum system and central air both of which are good examples of what conveniences can be added to older properties to accommodate today's lifestyle. |
