This Queen Ann Tudor style house was built in 1875 by Oliver Williams, president of Bryden Hoarse Shoes.  The house is situated on an acre of ground in a park-like setting of flowering trees and perennial gardens. The stone wall and iron fence enhance the setting and offer privacy.  The back of the house is a five car garage and a carriage house.

The landscaping was featured in "Country Homes Magazine" in September 1922.  Past photographs show an architecturally interesting greenhouse and pergola which unfortunately no longer exist.  However; the fish pond and raceway exists although are not restored.  A slate patio is enclosed by a stone wall and plantings.  Mature trees and shrubs not only offer privacy, but a lush tranquility.
